PictureIcelandic cafe decor. These are color coordinated books that look cool, but the books have been cut away about 3 inches from the spine so that they can be displayed. The bookshelves don't need to be full sized this way, but the books are unreadable.

This was a really fun meet cute, re-meet more cute story based on a pretty ridiculous premise that was actually just really entertaining.  As far as light romance goes, recommend!

This is a very short story, but with a surprising amount of depth.  People are complicated and impulsive decisions made in a moment of pain can have devastating consequences.

Content warning: Violent hate crime.

Another meet cute, gay romance, this one is kind of a fun twist with podcasts, social media, and a cute-ugly insta-famous dog.  It isn't great, but it doesn't suck, either.  Not not recommended.

Similar to a Hallmark Holiday Special, this romance played to the audience who loves to see the high powered, career oriented, single and lonely woman thrown off her game by the handsome jerk who then sweeps her off her feet.

Quite possibly the worst book I have read in over a decade.  Rapey with a side of stalking.  The sex/rapes are explicit. Just no. no. no.

This sappy romance novella just did not hold up for me. Too far fetched, it lacked any depth and felt sloppy.  Skip it.

So, if you didn't figure it out, I am on a free aubile.com romance novella kick.  This is another just really cure little read that was very light and very fun.  The main characters are a rough and tumble woman contractor single mom and her new veterinarian neighbor single dad.

Just a light, sweet little romance about going home for your best friend's wedding and running into someone you used to know. Nothing special here, just a sweet light romance.

This is a really cute young adult romance, a story about going home as an adult when you need to regroup.  It is a finding yourself without losing yourself story that is just light and lovely. The main character is trans and a POC with a big city life whose comes home between jobs to help his mom in the conservative, white town he grew up in.  No surprise, he runs into the high school football star.

This was plugged as a "romance novel," but I would probably call it a love story since it is much more about a long term marriage than it is about the meet-cute, sexy stories that you'd expect from a romance novel.  It is a decent story.  It is unusual in that it is a story about the complexity of living a shared life where the main characters are lesbian, but that isn't enough to carry an otherwise pretty standard plot and average writing.  There are some joyful and some painful moments that are better written than the parts in between.  And it is nice to see works willing to look beyond the "everything is great" facade that often plagues Queer stories about love and family.  Not quite enough to warrant a recommend, but it was different enough to not not recommend.
